Full Service Maintenance Visit
If you plan to come in with your hair system ATTACHED, you will need to come in for routine hair upkeep every 2-4 weeks, depending on the type of system you have, adhesion method, and your body chemistry. Failure to keep up with maintenance visits can shorten the lifespan of your system, leading to possible tearing and the need for a new one at your expense. The more frequently you visit, the longer the lifespan of your system. Please schedule your maintenance visits in advance, as they typically take 1.5-2 hours, depending on the cut, style, and condition of the unit. The cost of this visit is $175 and includes the removal and cleaning of the hair system, re-application, washing and cutting of your biological hair.

In short, yes, you should wash your hair system daily to keep it clean and free of excess oils and dirt. While it's best to avoid letting direct warm shower water hit your system, you can still shower with a shower cap. If you're planning to swim with your system, keep in mind that chlorine can lighten the hair. We recommend taking extra precautions to protect your hair system and extending its lifespan.
-
The lifespan of your hair system depends on several factors, including the type of unit you use, how you maintain it, and how frequently you come in for re-application. Typically, a hair system can last anywhere from 1 to 5 months. However, the lifespan can vary greatly based on the base type and your maintenance routine. We recommend scheduling routine visits for re-application to prolong the lifespan of your hair system. The more frequently you come in, the longer your unit will typically last.

The hair systems that I order are all meticulously handcrafted using either human hair or a combination of human hair, yak hair, and synthetic hairs for creating different percentages of gray.

I understand that some individuals may prefer to purchase their own hair systems and have them installed by a professional. However, I am unable to accommodate this request. The reason being is that I cannot guarantee the quality of the hair system purchased by the client. As a professional, I take pride in providing high-quality service and products to my clients. By installing a hair system that I cannot verify the quality of, I risk damaging my reputation and my ability to provide the best possible service to my clients. Therefore, I only install hair systems that I have personally ordered and vetted for quality.

Every new system will cost $750. This price includes the consultation, color matching, density and curl pattern matching, the unit itself, the application, a lesson on proper maintenance, and a take-home touch-up kit. The appointment usually lasts about three hours, ensuring that you receive the necessary guidance and instruction to properly maintain and care for your new hair system.
-
The frequency of your maintenance visits will depend on the type of system you choose, but generally, expect to come in every 2-4 weeks. These appointments are priced at $150-$175 each time and typically last 1.5-2 hours, including removal and cleaning of the hair system, re-application, washing and cutting of your bio hair, and any necessary styling. Remember, the more regularly you come in for maintenance, the longer your system will last. So, it's important to schedule these visits in advance to ensure the longevity of your hair replacement system.

Yes, Florida is known for its hot and humid climate. Considering this, I usually recommend starting with a Lace system with tape adhesion for most clients. This particular system, when used with this bonding method, allows for better airflow to your scalp and pores, making it a more comfortable option in the Florida climate. However, each individual has different preferences, and some may still want to try other base types and adhesion methods to find what suits them best.

To the naked eye, it's almost impossible to tell that you're wearing a hair system. As a barber, I specialize in creating undetectable hair systems. The ultra-thin bases of the systems are nearly transparent, allowing your scalp to show through and creating a natural look. My goal is to create a hair system that matches the style and look of your natural hair before you started losing it, and with the right maintenance and upkeep, it will continue to look natural and seamless.

Although it is rare, in some cases, an individual can have an adverse reaction to the tape or glue used to attach the hair system. In the event of a reaction, we can use hypoallergenic tapes to minimize discomfort. However, there is no way to know if a reaction will occur until we test out a unit. I always inform my clients that we will try multiple methods of adhesion and various hair system bases until we find the one that works best for their unique needs and preferences.

Yes, many people do. After your first installation, I will provide you with a small care package to help you get started with the maintenance of your system. However, if you continue to maintain it on your own, you may need to order more supplies in the future. I am always available to offer guidance on proper maintenance and answer any questions you may have.

Itching can be a common issue for some people who wear hair systems, especially as their natural hair grows underneath. However, regular re-application appointments every few weeks can help alleviate this discomfort. It's important to properly maintain and take care of your hair system to ensure maximum comfort and longevity.
-
Yes, it's important to use caution when applying heat to your hair system. Direct heat from a blow dryer can damage the base of the unit and cause tearing. It's best to use a low to medium heat setting and avoid directing the heat too close to the base. When styling the hair, a light hold, water-based clay or pomade can be used to keep it in place. However, it's important not to overuse product and to make sure to remove it nightly to avoid damaging the hair or the base of the unit.
-
No, the adhesives used to attach the hair system are designed to allow your scalp to breathe and let moisture escape. They do not interfere with the growth of your natural hair.
-
The reason why many people choose to get a hair system instead of a hair transplant is simple - it's not permanent. Unlike hair transplants that require expensive and often risky procedures, with hair systems, you don't have to travel to other countries and spend thousands upfront without knowing if it's even going to work. Plus, the process of getting a hair system is painless and fast. You can come in with little to no hair, and a few hours later, you can leave with a full set that you can wash and style as you please. And if you don't like it, you can just stop using it without any complications from medicine or infections that you could deal with if you went another route.
-
Unfortunately no. I will take down your bio hair in the balding area to a zero guard. This allows for the bond between the unit and your scalp to be the tightest it can be. Your real hair will still grow underneath, so there’s no loss in trying. If you decide to discontinue wearing the system in the future, your bio hair will grow back as it was before.

I like to record all my transformations because it allows me to use real-life models that I have worked on to share with others and give them the confidence to come in. Showing your face in these transformation videos can help others see what a difference a hair system can make. However, if you would like to remain anonymous, I can cover your face with a shield or blur it out before posting. It's important to remember that seeing other people's transformations is often what inspired you to give it a try yourself.

As a barber, I have completed two certifications in men's hair replacement from Austin, TX and Boston, MA. With nearly two decades of experience in men's hair, I am well-versed in the latest styles and trends. I am skilled in seamlessly blending the unit, which typically comes with a 6-inch hair length, into your natural hair, creating an even more undetectable look. While there are other professionals who can perform this service, I invite you to come in and chat with me to see if I'm the right fit for you. There's no pressure, and I understand that not every professional is the perfect match for every client. Let's discuss your needs and determine if I'm the best person to help you achieve your desired look.
